Zenith Expands in Connecticut

Zenith is preparing to write workers’ compensation insurance in Connecticut through ZNAT Insurance Company.

In an August 14 filing, ZNAT said it recently received a license in the state and submitted its initial workers’ compensation rates. The Fairfax-owned carrier plans to adopt NCCI’s January 1, 2026 advisory loss costs and apply a loss cost multiplier of 1.279.

The rates are scheduled to take effect for new and renewal business on December 1, 2026, subject to approval. A corresponding forms filing was also submitted.

Because ZNAT does not yet have business in Connecticut, the filing affects no existing policies or premium. Zenith describes ZNAT as an affiliated underwriting carrier and operates both companies under the Zenith brand.
