USAA is updating its Rental Property Insurance program in Illinois by adding 3% and 5% wind and hail deductibles for dwelling coverage, with changes set to take effect July 20, 2026, for new business and October 15, 2026, for renewals.

The filing affects 8,095 policyholders across the group. The program represents $13.3 million in written premium. USAA said the deductible options were informed by competitor selections and supported by risk models from Verisk and RMS. The group’s last rate revision in Illinois took effect on March 15, 2023, and reflected a 6.2% increase.
