Trusted Resource Underwriters Exchange of Ohio has filed to introduce a homeowners insurance program in California.
The new HO-3 program would apply to new and renewal policies and become effective upon regulatory approval. The filing, submitted on September 14, is currently assigned for review.
The proposed program includes optional coverage for family cyber risks, service lines, equipment breakdown, water backup, hidden water leakage, home lockout expenses and personal property replacement cost.
Supporting materials reference wildfire territory maps, earthquake and wildfire catastrophe models, and the Howden Blaze Index. The filing does not include a rate-impact calculation because this is a new program.
TRUE currently offers homeowners insurance in Arizona through select agents, as well as in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas. California would become its sixth listed state if the new program is approved.
