SiriusPoint submitted a Texas filing introducing new optional endorsements for its exclusive Players Health insurance program, which is managed by Players Health.
The filing adds rules for three commercial general liability endorsements:
- Increased medical payments coverage for participants.
- An exclusion for discrimination coverage.
- Limited discrimination coverage with configurable limits.
Under the participant injury endorsement, insureds can increase medical payment limits up to $250,000 per participant. Pricing varies based on selected limits and deductibles, with no deductible resulting in a 2x premium factor.
The limited discrimination coverage endorsement introduces optional coverage limits ranging from $25,000/$100,000 aggregate to $1 million/$2 million aggregate. Premiums range from 2% to 15% of the base general liability premium, subject to minimum premiums between $100 and $350.
The filing is rate neutral overall and applies to a Texas book consisting of 55 policyholders and approximately $639,000 in written premium.
A similar filing was submitted in Virginia.
Bottom Line: SiriusPoint and Players Health are expanding configurable liability protections for sports organizations, with added focus on participant injury expenses and discrimination-related exposures.
