Progressive has filed for a rate increase on its Nevada watercraft program, proposing an overall +3.6% change across policies written through Progressive Direct Insurance Company and Progressive Northern Insurance Company.

The filing, submitted on March 16, 2026, applies to boatowners and personal watercraft coverage under inland marine and is scheduled to take effect June 5, 2026 for new business and July 15, 2026 for renewals.

The impact varies slightly by entity. Progressive Direct reflects a +3.57% rate impact across approximately 3,333 policyholders and $1.62 million in written premium, while Progressive Northern shows a +3.54% impact across 2,566 policyholders and $1.19 million in premium.

The increase follows a prior rate revision in 2023 that reduced rates by roughly 2.1%, signaling a reversal toward rate firming in the segment.

The filing is currently open and under regulatory review. Nevada regulators have issued an objection requesting a five-year profitability report, including premiums, losses, expense ratios, and profit metrics, before approval can proceed.
