Harco National, part of IAT Insurance Group, has filed to withdraw its motor carrier general liability program in California.
The insurer plans to non-renew its entire book, consisting of 13 policies with $1.43 million in written premium as of June 30. Non-renewals would begin with policies expiring October 1, 2026, and conclude with the final expirations on September 30, 2027.
Harco said the investment required to sustain the book could be used more effectively elsewhere in the organization. Policies will remain in force through their natural expiration dates, and the company may consider reentering the market in the future.
The withdrawal is pending regulatory approval. Harco has agreed not to file a replacement program for at least three years after the withdrawal takes effect.
