Encompass Insurance Company, part of the National General/Allstate, is revising underwriting guidelines for its Custom360 Homeowners, Renters, and Condominiums program in Oregon.
The changes affect 1,591 policyholders and $2.5 million in written premium, with an effective date of August 27, 2025.
Key updates include expanded eligibility for older dwellings (up to 100 years), revised loss history criteria, and new rules allowing wood-burning stoves. The company also clarified requirements for scheduled personal property and ownership eligibility, and incorporated Oregon-specific regulations related to wildfire risk, cancellation notice periods, and insurable interest.
