COUNTRY Preferred Files Nevada Homeowners Rate Update for 2026

COUNTRY Preferred Insurance Company has filed a homeowners rate revision in Nevada, effective March 9, 2026 for both new and renewal business. The update adjusts multiple components of the rate plan, including base rates, amount-of-insurance factors, auxiliary heat, CBR inconclusive and no-hit factors, cosmetic damage, earthquake rating, watercraft physical damage base rates, and the program’s minimum and maximum premium thresholds.

The revision is tied to an overall COUNTRY Preferred indication of 3.805%, but results in a modest rate decrease of –0.158% for renewing policyholders. ZIP-code changes vary, with certain areas seeing meaningful reductions—for example, personal liability rates in ZCTA 89001 drop by 7.7 percent, and ZCTA 89106 by 7.9%.
