Bristol West, part of Farmers, has filed an overall 4.8% rate decrease for its Select 4.0 private passenger auto program in Arkansas.
The changes include decreases of 3.5% for bodily injury, 6.5% for property damage, and 6.6% for comprehensive and collision coverage. Rates for personal injury protection, uninsured and underinsured motorists, and uninsured motorist property damage will increase by 5.8%.
Despite the overall decrease, existing policyholders will not receive rate reductions because Bristol West is capping renewal decreases at 0%. Renewal increases will be capped at 5%. The overall reduction reflects the combined impact on new and renewal business, with new business not subject to the cap.
The filing covers 673 policyholders and approximately $2.1 million in written premium. It takes effect September 4, 2026, for new business and November 8, 2026, for renewals.
