Acuity Seeks 2.5% Rate Increase in Oregon Personal Auto

Acuity, A Mutual Insurance Company, has filed for a 2.5% overall rate increase on its Personal Auto program in Oregon, effective December 3, 2025, for new business and February 3, 2026, for renewals. The filing impacts 3,882 policyholders with $11.2 million in written premium.

The proposed adjustment replaces base rates and follows a 7% increase implemented in June 2025. Acuity’s filing notes the use of quote data to calculate hit ratios for credibility purposes, comparing results between its internet rating platform and external comparative raters.

The company highlights that internet-generated quotes typically show higher hit ratios than comparative raters, though it flags limited post-rate change data as a constraint. Quotes are also segmented by monoline versus package business to refine analysis.
