RLI Files BOP Rate Increase in Georgia

RLI Insurance Company, part of the RLI Insurance Group, has filed for an 8.8% overall rate increase for its RLIPack Businessowners Program in Georgia, effective April 1, 2026, for both new and renewal business.

The rate adjustment impacts 141 policyholders and $254,552 in written premium, projecting an additional $22,401 in premium. The filing increases each of the program’s four Tier Factors to align pricing with recent loss experience and market trends.

While actuarial analysis indicated a need for an 18.6% increase, RLI opted for a more moderate 8.8% change to balance competitiveness and profitability. Individual policy impacts range from +2.4% to +10%.

The filing also updates Georgia exception pages and references loss development factors informed by competitor data, including Travelers (SERFF: TRVD-134353332). This marks RLI’s first Businessowners rate adjustment in Georgia since a 5.4% increase in June 2022.
