BITCO General Insurance Corporation and BITCO National Insurance Company have filed to update their Workers’ Compensation programs in Maryland, adopting NCCI’s latest loss costs (MD-2025-02) effective January 1, 2026. The filing was approved the same day it was submitted.

The update results in an overall 5% rate decrease, reflecting a 13.4% reduction in NCCI loss costs offset by a 9.7% increase in the expense multiplier. The filing affects 15 BITCO General policyholders with approximately $292,000 in written premium, while BITCO National reported no active policies.

This marks BITCO’s second consecutive rate decrease in Maryland, following a 12.2% reduction effective January 2025, as the company continues aligning its pricing with favorable industry loss trends.
