Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Company (BHSIC) introduced a new Small Business Liability program in New Mexico, effective August 15, 2025. The ISO-based product includes forms, rates, and rules designed to meet small business needs.
The program incorporates the latest ISO filings for Loss Costs, ILFs, and ELPs, but BHSIC will file separately for any future ISO updates. Defense costs fall outside the Limits of Insurance.
Key forms include general liability declarations, a supplemental business personal property floater, and professional liability endorsements that redefine “occurrence” to include professional incidents. Exclusions introduced include phthalates, sports participants, and silica-related dust.
The program will be administered through BHSIC’s Berxi platform.
