Auto-Owners has filed an updated insurance scoring model for its Wisconsin homeowners program, with effective dates of April 13, 2027, for new business and June 12, 2027, for renewals.

The changes apply to all homeowners policies and related miscellaneous policies. Wisconsin marked the filing as “Filed” on October 2, 2026.

Auto-Owners requested confidential treatment of the model as a trade secret, saying its proprietary scoring method provides a competitive advantage. The insurer also said its model validation data is subject to licensing and confidentiality agreements with an unnamed vendor.

The public filing does not disclose the model’s variables or changes, and it provides no premium impact figures. Auto-Owners said it would submit rates and rules in a subsequent filing following approval of the model.
