AAIS Introduces Personal Flood Program in Vermont

The American Association of Insurance Services (AAIS) filed in Vermont to introduce Personal Flood as a new line of insurance for member companies. The filing includes a multistate rules manual and Vermont-specific pages, outlining terms, deductibles, and optional coverages such as Ordinance or Law, Loss Assessment, and Expanded Basement Coverage.

The program is designed to complement the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) while offering insurers greater flexibility—allowing optional combinations of Coverages B, C, and D. Coverage A (Dwelling) is mandatory for the base form PF 0001, and Coverage C (Personal Property) is required under the Unit-Owners endorsement PF 3532.
