United Fire Completes BOP Migration

United Fire & Casualty Company has withdrawn its legacy ArtisanPro and PremierPro Businessowners programs in New Mexico after completing the transition of policyholders to a new platform and product structure.

According to a filing submitted to the New Mexico Office of Superintendent of Insurance, the withdrawal became effective March 4, 2026 and follows the completion of a multi year conversion process to the company’s BOP Pro program operating on a new policy administration system developed in partnership with Guidewire.

The transition plan was first disclosed to regulators in November 2023, when the insurer notified the state that eligible PremierPro and ArtisanPro policies would be migrated to the new system upon renewal beginning May 1, 2024. At the time of the notice, the company reported 179 in force legacy businessowners policies in New Mexico.

Under the plan, policies eligible for the BOP Pro product were converted at renewal, with policyholders receiving renewal offers between 30 and 45 days prior to expiration. Policies that did not meet the new underwriting guidelines were subject to non renewal notices.

United Fire indicated that the migration is now complete and that all businessowners policies in the state are operating under the new Guidewire based system and the BOP Pro filing. As a result, the filings associated with the legacy ArtisanPro and PremierPro forms are being formally withdrawn.

The filing was approved under a file and use with review disposition.
