Sutton National has filed a new commercial general liability program in Rhode Island managed by CoverGame USA, which operates as Players Health.
Submitted October 13, the program combines insurance with an integrated risk management platform for sports organizations. Its rates, rules and forms are predominantly based on a program written through SiriusPoint America Insurance Company, with modifications intended to improve book performance and clarify policy language.
The filing includes coverage endorsements for amateur sports, certified trainers, educators, health clubs and gyms, along with abuse and sexual molestation coverage options.
It also includes a waiver and release endorsement that makes signed participant waivers a condition of coverage for participant bodily injury. A separate neurodegenerative injury exclusion extends to concussions and repetitive brain trauma. Applicability depends on the endorsements attached to a policy.
Sutton requested an effective date upon approval. The filing remained pending as of October 14.
