Spinnaker Seeks Rate Hike for RV Program in Georgia

Spinnaker Insurance Company filed for a 15.1% rate increase for its Personal Recreational Vehicle Program in Georgia, impacting 659 policyholders and $634K in written premium. The change, lower than the actuarially indicated 21.2%, introduces new $1,000 and $2,500 Wind/Hail deductible options and revises multiple rating factors, including credit-based scoring, symbols, and driving records.

The filing—submitted by Westmont Associates and administered by Roamly Insurance Group—relies on data from Progressive, Safeco, Verisk, and A.M. Best. Spinnaker’s program stands out for allowing RV owners to rent their vehicles through platforms like Outdoorsy, omitting the standard commercial exclusion.

The prior rate hike of 10% took effect in June 2024.
