Progressive filed a Michigan update on January 21, 2026, effective May 1 for new business and June 1 for renewals, with a 0.8% average rate decrease across roughly 89,000 policies and $28.8 million in written premium.

The filing expands the Boatowners program with new limit options, a Named Storm Deductible, updated hull and manufacturer factors, and new coverages including Propulsion Plus and Sign & Glide. It also adds new discounts, extending the claim-free discount to new business and introducing an advance quote discount.

Sign & Glide coverage is optional and provides on-water towing and emergency services when a covered watercraft becomes disabled.
