MSIG has filed to introduce Asset Management Advantage in Tennessee, a new insurance program for investment advisers, mutual funds and hedge funds.
The September 29 filing covers Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance Company of America and Mitsui Sumitomo Insurance USA Inc. It requests an effective date upon approval and remains under review.
The program includes investment adviser professional liability, fund liability and investment adviser management liability, with employment practices and fiduciary liability coverage also available.
Proposed enhancements address family office services, real estate services and securities broker-dealer activities. Other options include additional limits for chief compliance officers and executives, informal investigation coverage, and extensions for lending, loan and trust services. The filing also includes optional absolute cryptocurrency and cyber exclusions.
Rating will be based on assets under management, with adjustments for selected limits, retentions and risk characteristics.
