Just Insure has received Nevada approval for a 1.06% overall auto insurance rate decrease, closing a review that began in September 2025 with a proposed 20% cut.
The approved filing lists 3,455 affected policyholders and approximately $8.2 million in written premium. Individual impacts range from a 16.6% decrease to a 32.8% increase. The company lists November 1, 2026, for new business and December 1 for renewals as its requested effective dates.
The competitive significance is the retreat from a broad price reduction to a narrower revision focused on credit factors and compliance. Just Insure sought to withdraw its rate proposal during the review, but regulators required outstanding compliance issues to be resolved through an approved filing.
Credit pricing explains why some customers face increases despite the overall decrease. Just Insure lowered its main credit factors for customers with no matching credit record or insufficient credit information. It also corrected a separate retention factor that had provided some renewing customers with an additional reduction.
The company said the original retention factor “was carried over from Just’s Arizona program,” where it offset an unfavorable credit factor. Nevada’s starting credit treatment was different, making that additional reduction unintended, according to Just Insure.
The retention factor is designed to “unwind the adverse rating effect of the Inflection Score for insureds in good standing,” the company explained, defining good standing as continuous coverage without a prior cancellation for nonpayment.
