Homestate Seeks Oregon Consent-To-Rate For Workers’ Comp Policy

Berkshire Hathaway Homestate submitted a workers’ compensation consent to rate filing in Oregon for ETZ Hayim Holdings SPC, doing business as Lazarus Naturals. The filing was submitted on March 27, 2026, with proposed effective dates of April 1, 2026, for both new and renewal business.

The filing applies to a single risk and requests approval to charge above the filed rate for a policy covering operations in Oregon. Berkshire Hathaway Homestate said the exception is needed because the insured’s operations involve oil extraction with ethanol, creating a greater injury exposure than what is typically contemplated by the class codes on the policy.

According to the consent to rate form, the premium at filed rates would be $83,592, while the proposed excess-rate premium is $140,423. The filing includes revised rates across several class codes, reflecting the higher hazard profile associated with the insured’s operations.
