Homebound Introduces Program for Mobile Homes in Georgia

Homebound Insurance Exchange has filed to launch a Dwelling Fire program for Mobile Home products in Georgia, with a proposed effective date of October 6, 2025, for new business. The filing represents a transition from National Summit Insurance Company, whose previously approved program is being assumed by Homebound. All existing National Summit policyholders will receive new offers of insurance under the Homebound name.

The filing requests a rate change supported by rate indications developed from National Summit’s Georgia experience. The actuarial methodology incorporates the most recent ten accident years of data, spanning 2015 through 2024, with additional calendar year data from 2018 to 2023 used to determine permissible loss ratios and surplus ratios. The last rate revision for the program was effective January 20, 2023.

While the filing does not disclose a written premium amount or specific policyholder counts, it emphasizes a continuity strategy by transferring National Summit’s book of business into Homebound Insurance Exchange. The submission also includes rule updates addressing mobile home characteristics and policy administration.
