Chubb’s Indemnity Insurance Company of North America has filed for a 41.1% overall increase to its Healthy Paws 2.0 pet insurance program in Nevada, effective January 15, 2027, for renewals.
The filing covers 712 insured pets and $1.7 million in annualized written premium. It projects an additional $702,251 in premium. Chubb proposes raising dog and cat base rates by 43%, saying average claim costs have increased. The overall impact is lower because the policies also include fixed administrative fees.
The insurer’s calculated rate indication is 50.5%. Its previous Nevada rate revision, effective January 15, 2026, was a 50% increase. The new filing remains pending.
Bottom Line: Healthy Paws is seeking another substantial increase one year after its last Nevada rate revision.
