First Protective Insurance, part of Frontline, is preparing to launch a businessowners insurance program in Tennessee.
The program includes optional ProPlus Silver, Gold and Platinum enhancement packages offering increased limits and coverage for utility service disruptions, spoilage, water backup, employee dishonesty, money and securities, outdoor signs and property belonging to others.
First Protective also developed packages for restaurants and hotels and motels. The restaurant endorsement includes food contamination coverage, including certain cleaning, employee testing and vaccination, customer inoculation and reputation-repair advertising expenses. The hotel and motel package includes coverage for guest property, fine art and credit card invoices.
The filing was submitted on September 2 and closed as filed the following day. First Protective is targeting a November 13, 2026, launch and said related rates and underwriting rules will be filed separately.
