Farmers Insurance Company of Oregon filed comprehensive updates to its Farmers Flex Home (FLEX) program Underwriting Guidelines. The revisions focus on tightening eligibility in high wildfire-risk regions and adjusting new/renewal criteria ahead of internal deadlines.
Using FireLine® scoring and USDA Wildfire Models, Farmers now classifies “Extreme” risk properties as ineligible unless they maintain a FireLine score of 0. Adjustments also involve reclassification efforts for rural markets, improvement of protection class ratings, and clearer agent guidance in Acceptable Maintenance and Condition Expectations (AMCE).
Filing submitted February 11, 2026; proposed effective date April 1, 2026 (for new and renewal business).
