Universal North America Insurance Company is expanding its Texas Homeowners Program with the introduction of an optional Inland Flood Coverage Endorsement, effective November 1, 2025. The new endorsement offers flexible options, including deductible customization, content and basement coverage selection, and alignment with NFIP Zone X Preferred Risk Policies.

To support the new coverage, UNAIC is implementing a flood risk rating model based on a 1–10 score system, with base pricing set at score 7. Risks rated lower receive credits, while higher-risk properties incur debits. The filing impacts over 14,000 policyholders and $14.9 million in written premium but carries no overall rate change.
