United Fire & Casualty Company has filed to withdraw its legacy ArtisanPro and PremierPro businessowners programs in Wisconsin and Iowa, effective August 11, 2025, for renewal business. New business was already closed.
The withdrawals follow United Fire’s transition of eligible BOP policies to its new policy administration system and BOP-Pro program, launched April 1, 2024. As of September 30, 2023, there were 166 in-force legacy policies in Wisconsin and 565 in Iowa. While the current filings state no policyholders are affected, those meeting eligibility guidelines were offered BOP-Pro replacement coverage, while others received non-renewal notices.
The filings carry no rate impact. Both note that optional coverages such as Commercial Accounts Receivable, Electronic Data, Money and Securities, Outdoor Signs, and Valuable Papers and Records are part of the legacy withdrawal.
