Tesla plans to wind down Cybertruck production at Gigafactory Texas around mid-2027 to make room for increased Cybercab production, CEO Elon Musk said in a November 6 post on X.

Musk did not specify whether Tesla would move Cybertruck production elsewhere or discontinue the model entirely.

The electric pickup began reaching customers in late 2023. U.S. sales fell 48% to 20,237 vehicles in 2025, according to Kelley Blue Book figures cited by Reuters—well below Musk’s earlier projection of 250,000 annually.
