State Farm Overhauls Billing Platform

State Farm has filed a billing only update in North Carolina for mobile homeowners policies tied to the rollout of a new billing platform.

The filing was submitted on January 13, 2026, and requests a June 7, 2026 effective date for new and renewal business. The update does not change rates, policy forms, or underwriting. Policies moved to the new platform may be subject to a $10 late payment fee and a $25 returned payment fee, reflecting State Farm’s effort to consolidate legacy billing systems and allow customers to manage all property and casualty policies under a single billing account with more flexible payment options.

“State Farm is upgrading its billing system so customers can manage all their property and casualty policies in one place, with more flexible payment options. Instead of using different billing systems depending on how often they pay, customers will eventually have a single billing account as older systems are phased out.”
