State Farm Introduces Cyber Suite Coverage in North Carolina

State Farm Fire and Casualty Company filed in North Carolina to add a suite of optional cyber coverages under its Commercial Multi-Peril (CMP) program. The filing includes four new forms: Cyber Suite Supplemental Declarations (CMP-4008), Cyber Suite Coverage (CMP-4120), a state-specific Amendatory Endorsement (CMP-4281 for NC), and a Supplemental Extended Reporting Period endorsement (CMP-4352).

Developed with references to The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company, the coverage addresses Data Compromise, Computer Attack, Cyber Extortion, Misdirected Payment Fraud, Network Security Liability, and Identity Recovery.

Defense costs are capped by the Cyber Suite Aggregate Limit and may fully exhaust it, while the Extended Reporting Period premium is set at 150% of the annual premium. The North Carolina amendatory endorsement ensures the extended period applies in addition to prior liability limits.
