Sentry plans to replace the Dairyland brand with The General across its private passenger auto, motorcycle, and powersports products.
According to a Florida regulatory filing, Dairyland Insurance Company and Peak Property and Casualty Insurance Corporation will begin using The General’s name and logo on underwriting guides, policyholder communications, marketing materials, and other branded materials.
The change will take effect in Florida on September 16, 2026, for new business and November 17, 2026, for renewals. Email addresses, websites, and phone numbers may also be updated.
The companies’ legal names will remain unchanged, and the rebranding will not affect rates, underwriting, coverage, or policyholder obligations.
Sentry acquired The General and its underwriting companies on January 1, 2025. The filing suggests The General will now serve as the consumer-facing brand for businesses previously marketed under Dairyland.
