SafePort Proposes Rate Changes for Texas Dwelling

SafePort Insurance Company is seeking approval for a set of rate and rule changes to its Texas Dwelling Fire program, which launched in 2017 and now includes approximately 10,000 policies and nearly $27 million in written premium.

Based on a statewide indication of -7.1%, SafePort is proposing adjustments across multiple rating elements. The filing also introduces formatting changes to the Rates and Rules Manuals to improve clarity and consistency—these edits have no rating impact.

Submitted on June 26, 2025, the proposed effective date for renewals is October 1, 2025.
