Rock Ridge Insurance Company has filed updates to its Openly Homeowner Program forms in Connecticut, submitting a form-only filing that revises state-specific policy provisions and adopts a new mandatory flood disclosure notice. The filing was submitted on January 23, 2026, with proposed effective dates of February 24, 2026, for new business and April 26, 2026, for renewals.
The filing replaces the prior Connecticut special provisions with a new edition, updating policy language to align with recent state legislation. Changes include revised cancellation, nonrenewal, and conditional renewal notice requirements, expanded use of tracked mail methods for notices, and clarifications to appraisal, loss payment timing, and mortgagee provisions.
Rock Ridge is also adopting a flood disclosure notice stating that flood coverage is not included in standard homeowners or dwelling fire policies and that coverage must be purchased separately through the National Flood Insurance Program or private insurers. The notice is mandatory and reflects recent Connecticut statutory requirements.
