American Pet Insurance Company, which underwrites Pets Best policies, has filed for a statewide pet insurance rate increase in Florida, raising its annual base rate by about 15%, from $1,122.96 to $1,291.55. The filing applies broadly to policyholders and does not change coverage or introduce new programs.

The filing keeps the existing product structure, including deductible options from $50 to $2,000, annual benefit limits up to unlimited, and optional wellness and supplemental benefits.

It also retains discounts for military members, veterinary staff, employer and affinity groups, and multi-pet households, with a maximum aggregate discount of 12%.
