Ownershield Introduces Road Hazard Protection In Arizona

Ownershield, a subsidiary of Fortegra, is introducing a vehicle service contract in Arizona that covers tire and wheel damage from road hazards. The program was approved in late March 2026 and takes effect April 27, 2026.

The product is not insurance but a service contract covering repairs or replacements for damage caused by potholes, debris, and similar conditions. It includes related costs like mounting and balancing, with no deductible.

Coverage runs from 12 to 84 months for eligible passenger vehicles and also includes roadside assistance, such as towing, flat tire help, fuel delivery, lockout service, and jump-starts, capped at $100 per incident.

The contract is administered by Ownershield, backed by affiliated entities, and includes arbitration and class action waiver provisions. It is a new standalone offering.
