Obsidian filed to launch SafeHome, a new manufactured home insurance program in Georgia developed by SafeLease, with an effective date of November 1, 2026.

The program uses a granular rating structure that incorporates territory, deductible, age of home, age of insured, insurance score, occupancy, roof age, settlement options, coverage limits, distribution channel, payment method, claims history, prior lapse, short-term rental use, and unusual risk characteristics.

SafeHome also offers a broad range of optional coverages, including equipment breakdown, water backup, identity fraud expense, hobby farming, golf cart coverage, pet damage, limited bed bug coverage, trip collision, fire department service charge, loss assessment, debris removal, personal liability, animal liability, and landlord personal injury.
