MedMal Direct Insurance Company, now operating as Integris Assurance Company, filed a rate update for its medical professional liability program in Georgia, effective July 1, 2026, for both new and renewal business.

The filing implements a 9.9% overall rate increase by raising base rates across all medical specialties. The change affects 241 policyholders and approximately $2.4 million in written premium, producing an estimated premium increase of $238,943.

The company’s initial rate indication was 105.7%, which was credibility weighted to 23.6% before selecting the lower increase.

The filing benchmarks loss trends against industry peers including The Doctor’s Company, ProAssurance, and NORCAL.

This follows a prior 9.9% increase that took effect in July 2025.
