CURE Files Florida Private Passenger Auto Program

Citizens United Reciprocal Exchange (CURE) has submitted an initial portfolio of policy forms, notices, and applications to launch a non-standard private passenger auto insurance program in Florida’s voluntary market.

The filing establishes the base policy language and contract forms for the program, while corresponding rates, rules, acceptance criteria, and actuarial support were submitted separately.

The proposed product includes personal injury protection (PIP), property damage liability, uninsured motorist coverage, roadside assistance of up to $125 per incident, and electronic policy delivery options. Applicants would also contribute an amount equal to 15% of total policy premium as a surplus contribution to the reciprocal exchange.

CURE said the forms and policy language were designed to comply with Florida law and support the company’s entry into the state’s non-standard auto insurance market.

CURE Auto Insurance is currently available in three states: New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Michigan.
