Clearcover has filed an overall 10% rate decrease for its Access private passenger auto program in Florida. The change took effect Aug. 27, 2026, for new business, with an Oct. 16 effective date for renewals.
The filing targets a 15% decrease for personal injury protection, 7.5% for comprehensive, and 5% each for collision and property damage liability. Bodily injury and uninsured motorist rates are unchanged.
The Access program generated about $497,598 in earned premium at current rates across 350.76 earned car-years, according to the filing.
Clearcover is also revising its expense constants and liability-only discount. The company says the changes are intended to keep the program competitive while maintaining profitability. It submitted the filing under Florida’s “use and file” provision.
