Boundless Rider Updates Ohio Motorcycle Program

Incline Casualty Company has updated its Boundless Rider Motorcycle & Powersports Program in Ohio, effective February 1, 2024. The filing includes revised rates, updated rules, and refreshed forms to better reflect current regulatory and market conditions.

The Off-Road Vehicle Coverage Endorsement now explicitly covers dirt bikes, ATVs, UTVs, and snowmobiles, while clarifying exclusions like water submersion not caused by flooding. The Safe Rider Program Endorsement offers discounts for policyholders who track riding behavior via a mobile app, including opt-in, low mileage, and safe driving incentives. It also introduces a $100,000 death benefit for enrollees who meet specific criteria such as wearing a helmet and legally operating the vehicle at the time of an accident.

A revised gender rating structure addresses non-binary (“X”) gender markers by classifying all non-male riders under a new “Other” category, using previously approved female rating factors. This update has no impact on current rates.

Though base rates have been updated, the overall rate impact is zero. No Ohio policies have been written under this program to date, and the changes are modeled after recent revisions to Viking Insurance Company’s Powersports Program, which served as the original template for Boundless Rider.

The program continues to offer a 12-pay installment plan with a 20% down payment and full-pay discounts at new business or renewal. Operator safety course discounts, MVR-based surcharges, transfer discounts, and experience-based pricing adjustments remain in place.
