ARAG has received approval to add several optional benefits to its group legal insurance product in Florida.
The new endorsements cover bankruptcy, tax audits, building-code disputes, easements, property-tax assessments, zoning matters, school administrative hearings and disputes involving Social Security, veterans, Medicare or Medicaid benefits.
ARAG will also reimburse up to $250 in court filing fees and $1,000 in mediation costs for covered matters. Services provided by network attorneys are paid in full, while set reimbursement limits apply when policyholders choose non-network attorneys.
The updated policy also introduces a “case confirmation” that verifies coverage and outlines applicable limits and attorney options. Services performed without a case confirmation may not be covered.
Florida regulators approved the filing on June 10. The changes are expected to take effect January 1, 2027.
