American Family Connect has filed a rate revision for its private passenger auto program in Georgia, seeking an overall 7.3% rate increase on a re-rated basis. The filing was submitted on January 5, 2026, with the changes applying to renewal business effective July 26, 2026.
The filing impacts 1,069 in-force auto policies statewide and is expected to generate approximately $318,000 in additional written premium, bringing total program premium to about $4.4 million.
Most policyholders will see modest changes. Nearly 80% of policies are projected to experience increases of 10% or less, and no policy will exceed a 14.9% increase. About one-third of affected policies will see dollar impacts under $200 annually, with only a small number experiencing larger increases.
American Family Connect noted that the Georgia auto book is a closed market expansion program, meaning the filing applies only to existing policyholders.
American Family Connect underwrites the Costco Auto Insurance Program.
