Adoro Pet Launches Private-Label Program Backed by Crum & Forster Carrier

United States Fire Insurance Company, a Crum & Forster carrier, received approval in Florida for a new private-label pet insurance program developed for adoro Pet Insurance Services.

The filing introduces three annual plans covering dogs and cats: Accident Only, Accident and Illness, and a High-Deductible Accident and Illness option.

The Accident and Illness product offers reimbursement levels ranging from 50% to 85%, annual limits from $2,500 to $100,000 or unlimited, and deductibles between $200 and $1,000 before a deductible lock feature takes effect. The high-deductible option carries a $2,000 deductible and either a $100,000 or unlimited annual benefit limit.

All three plans can be paired with optional wellness packages branded as adoro Wellness and adoro Wellness Plus, covering preventive services such as vaccinations, wellness exams, flea and tick prevention, microchipping, deworming, urinalysis, and dental cleanings. Annual wellness benefits range from $305 to $535 depending on the package selected.

A notable feature of the Accident and Illness plan is an Annual Deductible Lock Period, under which deductible increases are used to help offset premium increases associated with a pet’s aging. The product also allows waiting periods for illnesses and cruciate ligament conditions to be waived following a veterinary examination and approval of a waiting-period waiver form.

According to the filing, the program will be marketed through licensed producers, while adoro will administer the policies and claims experience. Claims can be submitted digitally through the adoro app or online portal.

The filing was approved by the Florida Office of Insurance Regulation on December 10, 2025.
