Zesty.ai Property Risk Solutions has filed in Virginia to introduce its Z-WIND, Z-HAIL, and Z-STORM models for insurer use in underwriting and rating property insurance. Built on a database of over four million earned exposures, Z-WIND and Z-HAIL generate claim frequency and severity scores at the property level, while Z-STORM combines both for a broader severe convective storm view.

The models are designed to help carriers accept business in higher-risk regions and price policies according to property-specific characteristics. Insurers can adopt the models as eligibility tools, add them as rate-neutral rating factors, or license variables directly as data vendors. Separate carrier filings are required for adoption.
