United Automobile Insurance Company is reducing rates for its Eagle personal auto program in Florida by an estimated 18%.

The filing revises base rates, territory factors and expense fees, with no change to policy fees. The new rates took effect July 24 for new business and August 27 for renewals.

This is the first rate review for Eagle since the program was introduced in May 2025. United Auto said the original program filing remains pending, although Eagle is already writing business and has recorded at least 100 claims in one coverage.

Based in Miami Gardens, United Auto is a privately held, family-owned insurer focused primarily on the nonstandard auto market. Founded in 1989, it began writing Florida auto insurance in 1990 and distributes its products through independent agents.

The Eagle filing states that policy fees are passed entirely to the MGA, but the publicly available documents do not identify the MGA.
