StarStone National Files Workers’ Compensation Rate Decrease in Delaware

StarStone National Insurance Company has filed to adopt updated Delaware loss costs, resulting in an 8.7% overall rate decrease for its Workers’ Compensation program. The filing, submitted on October 31, 2025, and filed on November 3, 2025, will take effect on December 1, 2025, for both new and renewal business.

The change affects approximately 15 policyholders and $289,406 in written premium, projecting a total premium reduction of $25,301. The filing references the Delaware Compensation Rating Bureau (DCRB) Filing No. 2501 and replaces the state’s Schedule Rating Manual Rule.

Individual policy impacts range from -4.3% to -16.7%, aligning with broader statewide decreases tied to favorable loss cost trends.
