Stand Files Florida Homeowners Program Through New Exchange

Stand has filed a voluntary homeowners program in Florida through Stand Insurance Exchange.

The August 14 filing includes HO-3 and HO-5 policy forms and is not intended to assume policies from Citizens. Stand Protect will manage the program, with Anthony Tornatore, head of new markets, submitting the filing on behalf of the exchange.

Stand entered Florida earlier this year with a hurricane insurance program targeting high-value homes. The company evaluates properties using its catastrophe model and field inspections, with premium credits available for mitigation features such as impact-resistant glass, fortified roofs and hurricane straps. The latest filing positions Stand to write the business through its newly formed reciprocal exchange.
