Society Insurance has filed updates to its Businessowners program in Texas, including a policy form revision effective January 1, 2026, and new conditional endorsements effective June 1, 2026.
The January filing revises Form TBP3040 – Personal Property Off-premises to clarify that coverage applies to business personal property—excluding money, securities, valuable papers, records, and accounts receivable—while in transit or at a temporary location not owned, leased, or operated by the insured for up to 14 days. The $25,000 coverage limit per policy period remains unchanged.
The June filing introduces three new conditional mandatory endorsements—Exclusion: Designated Organizations or Entities, Limitation of Coverage to Designated Organizations or Entities, and Limitation of Coverage to Your Premises and Operations. These endorsements clarify or restrict liability coverage but carry no rate or premium impact.
Society’s Division Ten Businessowners coverage leverages extensive third-party data sources, including ISO Verisk Prometrix, Precisely, DataUSA, FEMA, Google Places, and FBI Uniform Crime Reporting, to develop an internal Model Score used in underwriting and rating. Both filings are rate-neutral and reflect ongoing refinements to the insurer’s Businessowners product.
