SafeRide Expands Hitch Assist Motor Club Program

SafeRide Motor Club has filed its “Hitch Assist SafeRide Motor Club Motor Club Registration” in Wisconsin, Maryland, and Mississippi, with an effective date of October 10, 2025. The program provides roadside assistance for a primary covered trailer and additional passenger vehicles up to one ton, including motorcycles and tow dollies, while excluding commercial, recreational, classic, and vehicles over twenty years old.

In Wisconsin, the filing is subject to the state’s “file & use” rules, allowing use 30 days after submission. In Maryland, the filing introduces 2025 retail membership rates and extends benefits to spouses and dependents under 24, with a default one-month term if no selection is made. In Mississippi, the filing leverages the state’s Commercial Modernization Act, which exempts auto club contracts from actuarial review under certain conditions.

SafeRide notes that the program is a motor club membership, not an auto liability or physical damage policy, and participation is voluntary, not tied to insurance or financing.
